We are proud to announce that our debut album launch will take place at the Playhouse Theatre in Sleaford on Friday, 21st October 2022.

Back in January 2022, Candacraig was awarded funding from “Help Musicians“, which has helped us to remix and remaster our debut album, “Thunder and Whispers”.

“Help Musicians” are a beacon of hope to musicians across the UK that have struggled during the pandemic.

Singer Sharon, and guitarist Martin, will be accompanied by a full band comprised of a wealth of local talent: Sleaford personality Chris (Christmas) Clark will take time out from Basil Brush to fulfil duties on bass and backing vocals, Krim Palmer of Shug Studios, Soaper and Bear Makes Ninja will be on drums, Michael (Twitch) Latham of Fresh 90s and international touring artist Maxx, is on keyboards.

In addition to our neo-prog/folk/singer-songwriter repertoire, the audience will be treated to a selection of songs by the artists who have influenced the album. So expect music from the likes of Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and The Who, amongst others.

Some locals might remember Sharon and Martin from Time is Money, a local Pink Floyd tribute act that sold out the Sleaford Playhouse Theatre in 2015.

Sharon and Martin are familiar faces in Sleaford, as they have gigged locally in various guises over the years, recently with “Rock Vixen”, an act that is a regular visitor to Sleaford Legion, and also from local tribute band “Planet ABBA”.  And who remembers “Time is Money”? Sleaford’s own Pink Floyd tribute, who played a sell-out show here at the Playhouse. Expect to hear some Pink Floyd amongst their original music at this October’s album launch.

As well as the new album, other merchandise will be on sale, such as t-shirts, patches and coasters. You can also purchase merchandise from our online shop.

VJ Day

On this rather poignant day, I thought it would be good to explain the origins of our name and its deep roots within our history.
