2025 has been another fantastic year for us, with plenty of milestones reached and some fantastic gigs!
We started the year as we meant to go on, voted 5th best new act in Prog Magazine’s readers poll, which we were blown away by. Thank you Prog!
We had gigs in Lincoln, Huntingdon and Stoke, playing with some of our absolute favourite acts, such as Dikajee and EBB, which brought us new fans.
We had faeries dancing to our music in Llangollen, we rocked the Nene Valley Rock Festival with the full band, had a fabulous gig oop north in Hartlepool with Doug Melbourne and Tony Patterson.
We even managed to bag a last minute slot at HRH Prog which turned out to be the highlight of our gig year!
Throughout the year we worked on the new mixes of selected songs for Whisper to the Lightning with Robin Armstrong, which has been incredibly rewarding. The first vinyls are winging their way to those of you who pre-ordered so do let us know what you think!
We’ve also been busy working on songs for both our forthcoming EP and our third album which are coming along very nicely!
We managed to catch a few of our fellow proggers at various festivals and gigs throughout the year and hang out with the guys from Progzilla in many, many bars along the way… much to the detriment of our livers!
However, we are pleased to report that the world of prog is in very good shape. There are so many fantastic bands on the circuit right now, and we are so blessed to be able to watch them play and are equally blessed that we can count on so many of them as friends.
A special mention also to the likes of Mike Whitfield, Steve Gould, Danny Mayo, Bob Cheatham, Trevor, Roger and the NVRF gang, The AfterGlow Archive and Bedside Yellow Foam who’ve championed not only us, but so many other up and coming acts 24/7. You guys rock!
So what lies in store for us next year?
Well, the first thing will be the official release of both the vinyl and CD of Whisper to the Lightning, and we’ll be making a pre-order available again for both of those in advance of the release date on 6th February.
Look out for the pre-order link just after Christmas.
Next will be the release of the (as yet untitled) EP in late Spring/early summer. We’ll be teasing some of this new material in another live stream in the new year, and there will be an exclusive first unveiling of further new material at a very exclusive show that we’ll keep under wraps for just a little longer…
As well as supporting Also Eden at Birmingham, we’ll be making our first appearance at Soundle in the summer, and look out for other festival slots as they’re announced.
Our social media will be where you will often hear things first, so do make sure you follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Bandcamp and Youtube.
Lastly, we’ll be working more on album number three, which will be entitled “Jack Frost’s Wedding Day” and we are SOOOO excited at how this is evolving already!
If you are very good, we might reward our fans towards the end of the year with a special show, playing the whole album BEFORE we go into the studio to record it! How crazy is that???
But since when have we ever done anything the way we’re supposed to? Hmmm?!
Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, stay safe and healthy and thank you all so much for your support this year, it means the world to us.
Sharon and Martin
